Our Mission

First Presbyterian Church, Uvalde, Texas serves the middle southwest border region of the state. We are the only Presbyterian Church between San Antonio and the Rio Grande border at Del Rio, approximately 150 miles. Ministering to a broad, rural region of Southwest Texas, First Presbyterian Church serves both our members and the surrounding communities. We are a catalytic force for the community in providing assistance to those in need, no matter what their condition or status.

First Presbyterian Church is also mindful of its relationship to the denomination and to the world. We serve as an active participant in the missions of Mission Presbytery and through benevolence activities to show the light of Christ in neighboring Mexico. Through our adherence to the tenets of the Reformed Faith, we strive to be ever willing to consider new needs and ministries.
