Worship

Worship is central to our life together at First Presbyterian Church. In worship our community rejoices in God’s presence in the world and in our lives, offering our praise and thanksgiving, being transformed, renewed and equipped to answer Christ’s call to us. Worship at First Presbyterian is every Sunday at 11:00 A.M. |
Special services are held on Maundy Thursday (the Thursday before Easter) and Christmas Eve. First Presbyterian Church also participates in the Community Thanksgiving service held the Sunday before Thanksgiving.
First Presbyterian Church also hosts weekly Lenten worship services for the community during the six weeks of Lent.
CHILDREN IN WORSHIP
Children are an important part of the Body of Christ. Indeed, our congregation promises at the Baptism of each child to support the family in the spiritual nurture of the child. There is a special time for children of all ages in worship during the Children’s Sermon given by the pastor or one of our members.
THE SACRAMENTS
We recognize and celebrate the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord's Supper.

Christian parents may present their children for baptism as a sign and seal of God's promise to them as being of God's covenant. Adults, not having been previously baptized, may be baptized upon profession of their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. |

The Lord's Supper is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. All baptized Christians are invited to partake of the elements. |
